 Welcome to the new look for Myers Park Presbyterian Church online! We've spent countless hours incorporating your suggestions and feedback in an attempt to give you an entirely new web experience. Staying in touch with the church is vital and this redesign incorporates many new features to make your online experience user-friendly, productive and enjoyable. Here are a few key features that will make your online experience more rewarding:
1. Graphics-Based Interface: Gone are the days of navigating menus to find information. If a major event is happening there's a good chance you'll see it directly on the homepage via one of our five interactive windows. The communications department updates the homepage throughout the day so you always receive the most-current information about church activities. We'll also be rolling out an interface with the church master calendar shortly that will allow you to see everything scheduled on a particular day, week or month! Stay tuned!
2. Simple Menu Structure: Items now fall under their ministry area rather than an abstract category (learn, serve and give, etc…). For example, Habitat for Humanity falls under Outreach; the Academy falls under Adult Education. This makes finding information much easier. You can also search by keyword from the main page if you're still not sure.
3. MPPC Online Delivery: Sign up to receive church communication via email! This allows you to receive information immediately rather than waiting several days for traditional mail. It also reduces clutter in your mailbox and saves us postage costs! Each email you receive has a convenient unsubscribe button so you're always in control of which mail you receive.
4. Online Payments: Pay for nearly all your church activities online via Paypal. Several ministry areas are already using this service but if a particular area isn't providing this feature, let them know you want to pay online!
5. Sermon Podcasts: Take Sunday worship with you anywhere! Subscribe to our podcast, watch Steve's Sermon Soundbite or take advantage of RSS technology to keep absolutely current. Podcasts are generally released Monday afternoon and are a great way to incorporate worship into your week. |
