Communion
Communion Preparation: Purchase and prepare the communion elements for each communion service.
Communion Tray Washers: Clean and replenish the communion trays after each seated communion service.
General Lay Leadership
Bulletin Team: Assemble the bulletins for Sunday worship each Friday morning.
Celebrate Service Lay Leadership
Celebrate Audio-Visual Team: Run the PowerPoint presentation on Sunday mornings.
Celebrate Lay Readers: Read the Old Testament scripture and offer the Prayer of Illumination on Sundays.
Celebrate Setup Team: Assist with preparation of the Oxford Hall Gym for worship.
Celebrate Ushers: Welcome and assist the congregation during worship as needed, distribute the bulletins and collect the offering.
Sanctuary Service Lay Leadership
Chancel Guild: Assist the Sanctuary Decorating Team when needed, care for the paraments, linens, stoles and silver used during worship services.
Sanctuary Decorating: Assist in decorating the church during Advent and Lent.
Sanctuary Keepers: Replenish the pew racks in the Sanctuary; assignments are typically for one month on a rotating schedule.
Sanctuary Lay Readers: Read the Old Testament scripture and offer the Prayer of Illumination on Sundays.
Sanctuary Ushers: Welcome and assist the congregation as needed, distribute the bulletins and receive the offering.
