Covenant Ministry Opportunities
Communications Team
The Communications Team develops, manages and executes strategic plans that raise awareness and advance the mission and vision of MPPC. The team collaborates with clergy, staff, and members to support each area of ministry while overseeing production and dissemination of all church information, both internally and externally.
Facilities Team
The Facilities Team ensures proper stewardship of the physical assets of MPPC. The team is comprised of MPPC members who have interest and experience in the responsibilities assigned to the Facilities Team. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of the maintenance, repair, improvement and acquisition of all physical property for MPPC.
Finance Team
The Finance Team oversees the church’s financial policies and practices. It prepares the annual church budget, presents it to the Session, and monitors it on a monthly basis. It is also responsible for guiding MPPC’s financial performance and for advising ministry teams on managing resources that enable their work.
Food Service Team
The primary purpose of this team is to promote Christian fellowship in the church and ensure that the kitchen is run in an efficient and responsible manner. The team is comprised of MPPC members who have interest and experience in food service. The responsibilities include development of policies and procedures for kitchen operation, communication to congregational groups about proper kitchen procedures, and determining how the Food Service Team can help with events and activities.
MPPC Cooks
MPPC Cooks help with food preparation on Tuesday afternoons and with set-up and serving on Wednesday afternoons for Wednesday night dinners.
Funding for Mission and Ministry
The Funding for Mission and Ministry team plans and executes the annual financial stewardship campaign to encourage MPPC members to generously share the resources God has entrusted to their care. Responsibilities include organizing campaign publicity, member contacts, and post-campaign follow-up.
Professional Advisors in Planned Giving
Use your understanding of charitable life income plans and other tax-wise gifting techniques in assisting MPPC members who may be interested in long-term support of our ministries and outreach through estate gifts or outright gifts to MPPC’s endowment.
