 Charlotte: The CROSS program began in 1999 by the youth group of Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Each year CROSS groups serve God by reaching out to those in need in the Charlotte area.
Regional: Since 1999, over 3700 people from 173 churches in 17 states have participated in Charlotte mission work through CROSS.
Outreach: CROSS organizes opportunities for mission work to provide a diverse and rewarding experience for all types of groups. Outreach opportunities are available to minister to people who are homeless, hungry, elderly, addicted, disabled, memory impaired and children who are at risk or living in poverty.
Spirituality and Study: Mission days start out with a 30-minute worship time with God’s word and a review of ministry sites for the day. Devotional packets are available for groups to lead evening reflection times which are strongly encouraged to reflect on the day’s activities and emotions. A closing worship service is held on Thursday for summer groups and weekend groups attend the 8:45 contemporary service at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. |

Cost and Schedule
Weekend Groups accepted year- round other than June, July and August: $60 per person (cost includes food on Saturday and Sunday morning, housing, ministry site materials and staff with group on Friday evening's orientation, Saturday 8:00-4:30 from leading devotions to participating in missions with group and Sunday morning from 8:00-10:00 with wrap up and picture slide show to worshiping with groups)
- Friday: Arrival and orientation
- Saturday: Devotion and Review of sites 8-8:30 a.m.
- Mission Work 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Dinner and Free Time 4:30 - 11 p.m.
- Sunday: Pack up and Wrap up, before 8:30 a.m.; Myers Park Presbyterian Church Worship Service 8:45 a.m.
Week Groups: $35 per person, per night. Trips available during June, July, August AND Fall and Easter break weeks. (cost includes food Monday-Saturday, housing, ministry site materials and staff with group during the following times: Sunday evening orientation, Mon-Thurs 8:00-4:30 from leading devotions to participating in mission work at sites, evening activities on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and Friday or Saturday check out times.)
- Sunday: Arrival and orientation 7:00-8:00
- Monday-Thursday: Devotion 8-8:30 a.m.; Mission Work 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Monday evening: Dinner with a Myers Park Member family
- Tuesday evening: Social night with all CROSS Mission groups
- Wednesday night: Free night
- Thursday night: Dinner, and Worship with all CROSS Mission groups
- Friday: Free day
- Saturday: Pack up for home
