Ministry- A wide reaching ministry that provides rent assistance, medical aid and referrals, free furniture and clothing.
CROSS
groups help with sorting, folding and hanging clothes for the store that is free for Crisis’ clients. We have started a fashion show/contest for the person who can find and wear the craziest outfit will receive a prize at the end of the trip. Habitat Restore- A store where all proceeds benefit building Habitat Homes. CROSS groups help to organize shelves to create a more items more appealing for sale, help with unloading donations, etc. (Afternoon site- high school only)

The Haven In Highland Creek -The Haven is an assisted living facility for up to 60 Alzheimer’s and dementia individuals. CROSS groups read to individuals, play bingo, Bible share, sing or play musical instruments (if gifted in this area) clean wheelchairs, wash windows, craft project, etc. (Afternoon Site--no max) No website at this time (site is behind Concord Mills Mall and could be planned in the afternoon so your group could explore the mall for dinner and your free night http://www.mapcharlotte.com/ch_concordmills2.html)
Joshua’s Farm- A farm where youth and adults with disabilities can experience the outdoors and receive physical therapy through horseback riding and pet therapy.

Loaves and Fishes- A local food warehouse that collects, sorts, and stores food supplies for 16 local pantries. The pantries provide a full week of food for families in need.

Second Harvest Food Bank- A regional food bank affiliated with a nation wide program which serves 16 counties out of the facility.

The main function is a soup kitchen that serves lunch 365 days a year. The day shelter also provides showers, laundry, mail, phone, message board, counseling, job advice, art and literacy program, support groups, NA meetings, etc.

Double Oaks Nursery - A non-profit daycare for 6 week olds- 12 years of age that was started by
MPPC

son C Smith University student for the Double Oaks Daycare some 55 years ago. Majority of the children receive subsidies from Child Resources for daycare fees.

Elon Homes for Children- A community that provides children who have been abused or neglected a safe haven, life skills and education. Organization includes a residential program for kids ages 2-21, foster care, mental health services and a charter school.

Hope Junction- After School and Summer programming emphasizes the development of critical technological, leadership and creative skills to area teens who are primarily low income and underserved to enable them to become essential marketplace players and community leaders. Hospitality House- A non-profit service that enables families to stay close to their loved ones in the hospital without the emotional or financial stress of finding suitable lodging or making long communities. They provide a comfortable bed, hot meals, and a quite place to relax.
