Health Ministries
A Holistic Ministry That Recognizes The Church As A Place of Healing

The Health Ministry at MPPC addresses issues of faith and health in the congregational setting. It responds to the biblical call to health, healing, and caring for one's self and neighbor, both body and soul, and what this means to the life and ministry of MPPC.

The mission of the MPPC Health Ministry is to promote physical, social, and spiritual well being for our members and the community, using the teaching and ministry of Jesus Christ as their guide.

What are the activities of the Health Ministry Committee?

The Parish Nurse will work alongside the HMC to assess the health needs of the congregation and outreach community. The HMC and parish nurse design and offer programs that will respond to identified health concerns. Activities of the team include providing health information to the congregation, sponsoring a yearly flu clinic, managing a medical equipment loan program, and participating in community health outreach programs.

The HMC also helps to match gifts and talents of individual congregational members to needs within the health ministry. This effort is in collaboration with the Covenant Ministry Program.
