What you need to know to plan a wedding at Myers Park Presbyterian Church

We are happy that you are interested in celebrating your wedding at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Our goal is to help you plan a service of worship that will be sacred, dignified, and joyous.

In order to hold a wedding at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, the bride, groom, or a parent of the bride or groom must have been an active member of the church for at least one year. First, you need to contact the Worship Assistant (704-376-3695, Ext. 252), who will meet with you to talk about your plans. At that meeting, you will be given a booklet, prepared by the Session of MPPC, outlining procedures for planning your wedding.

Please do not make any firm plans until you have read the booklet and received written confirmation of your date and time!

There are guidelines you will be expected to observe, which regulate things such as decoration of the sanctuary and use of music, photography and videography. You should know that a minister, wedding director, and music director from MPPC will supervise and help you to plan your wedding. You may not invite guest pastors, musicians, or directors to participate in your wedding until you have met with those staff members of the church. The booklet should answer most of your questions, and you are welcome to call the Worship Assistant (704-376-3695, Ext. 252).
