Bible Studies at MPPC

Whether you are a new Christian or a growing disciple, the foundation of our faith is knowing, understanding, and applying the Holy Scriptures as they witness to Jesus, the Christ. MPPC provides a variety of Bible studies for beginners and seasoned disciples.

Tuesday Morning Men's Bible Study

Men of all ages are welcome to join us on Tuesday mornings, beginning November 13, 7:15-8:15 a.m. in CLC-204, for a twelve-week study of Isaiah.

Many of the verses of Isaiah are familiar to us as beloved passages we read and sing each Christmas and Easter season.  But Isaiah is more than just holiday seasonal reading.

Thought by some church fathers to be the first and greatest apostle and evangelist, Isaiah speaks of God’s relationship to the prophet, the people, the kings, and the servant.  Isaiah’s message invites us to explore God’s personal character and develop a deeper understanding of the living God, the Holy One of Israel.

Study books will be available ($10) at the class or through the Adult Education office.  Led by Rev. Von Clemans, the study is open to members and friends in our community.  Contact the Adult Education office (704-376-3695, Ext. 275) for more information.

What was important to Jesus the last week of his life?  This Lent, we’ll enter the holy week and observe what matters to God, journeying alongside Jesus in His final days, from the temple to the hill to the empty tomb.  Max Lucado’s And the Angels Were Silent, the MPPC Faith Builders Lenten Book Selection for 2008, will shape our study.
