Myers Park Active Christians Today
People attend this class to discuss topics affecting daily life.
Teaching Method: Lecture and discussion led by class members and outside speakers. Topics range from one to three weeks in duration, and are split between family values, social issues and religious topics. Each class begins with 15 minutes of fellowship.
Average Class Size: 30 men and women
Typical Age Range: all ages are welcome
Social Activities Outside of Class: 2-3 social dinners/parties, 3-4 ladies salad suppers, 2-3 men's auxilary events, class members are involved in outreach, including hosting Room in the Inn

Recent Curriculum Series/Topics: Understanding other religions, outreach and discipleship, and hospice and caring for others
Class History: The class was formed in 1980 for Young Adults, and originally called the YAK Class. Dr. Randy Taylor's two daughters were among the founders of the class. The class has always involved a diversity of social topics and spirited debate. Topics have become more focused on family relevant issues as class members married and launched their own families.
