Habitat for Humanity and Myers Park Presbyterian Church

Do you have skills with a hammer or a paintbrush, or would you like to learn? After building more than 175,000 houses in 93 countries for over 900,000 people, Habitat for Humanity continues to make a dramatic difference in the lives of people around the world. Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte celebrated the completion of its 600th home in 2004.
MPPC members can join on an adopt-a-home project or prepare and serve lunch to hungry workers. No experience is necessary, but you must be at least 16 years old. New projects are planned every year. You can help us build, help us organize and spread the word, contribute financially, or simply pray for the success of the project and the safety of our disciples. Look for sign-up opportunities during the year. Click here to check out our other pages on this website.
What is Habitat? Through the donated labor of MPPC church members, and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds houses in partnership with the homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans.
