Associate Pastor for Outreach
The Reverend Robert Breed graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and received his Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Bob is currently completing his doctoral degree in urban ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Regarding his doctoral work, Bob says, "I have truly been enriched through this experience. In addition to the tools I have acquired through the reading and writing, my instructors and fellow students have taught me a great deal about the unique aspects of ministry in an urban setting."
Bob Breed has a true passion for serving others in the name of Christ. He began his ministry as a hospital chaplain in Pomona, California, then served six years as associate pastor at Northminister Presbyterian in Peoria, Illinois. He moved on to complete eight years as the associate pastor at Hampton Presbyterian, a suburban church in the Pittsburgh area, before answering his call at Myers Park Presbyterian in May 2005.
Bob and his wife Cheryl have three children, Rylee, Caleb, and Olivia. Bob enjoys bike riding, hiking, and playing in the park with his children. He also enjoys golf and is an avid college football fan.
