Exercise Class Descriptions

 Strength and Sculpt

This class utilizes weights, bands, stability balls, and your own body as resistance to sculpt and strengthen all the major muscle groups.  Strength training is an important fitness component that will help increase muscle which burns calories throughout the day, and most importantly  helps prevent osteoporosis.  This class is for everyone-all fitness levels-beginners to serious athletes.

 Pilates

This is a class to strengthen, stabilize, and develop a strong body core using the methods of Joseph Pilates.  The movements are designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body.  This is a great abdominal and back workout!

Seniorcise

A less intense 30-minute aerobic workout combined with 30 minutes of strength training.  It's structured for our more "mature" adults--their kind of moves to their kind of music.  This class will keep you moving and strong.

Yoga

Class participants can experience Hatha Yoga in a Christian environment.  Yoga will improve flexibility, posture, and balance, which helps to prevent injuries.  Yoga reminds us to breathe, relax, and enjoy life and is recommended for everyone.  Monday classes are for all levels and Wednesday classes are designed for people with chronic illnesses.

Zumba

Zumba is a fitness program inspired by Latin Dance.  Zumba combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create an aerobic routine that is fun and easy to follow.  The name Zumba is derived from a Columbian word meaning to move fast and have fun.  A great workout and easy to follow for everyone!
