June 18-26 - El Salvador
Build homes with Habitat and deepen relationships during this exciting eight-day mission experience. Youth 16-years-old through graduated seniors are welcome to further the established partnership our church has begun in the Getsemani community of Ahuachapan. Cost: $950 (nonrefundable $300 deposit).
Middle School
June 12-18, Urban Mission Camp, Mobile, Ala., Eighth Grade Youth
Put your faith into action through a unique trip designed specifically for our eighth grade confirmands. We will work with the urban poor through Government St. Presbyterian Church and learn more about the connection between poverty issues and true discipleship. The trip includes an afternoon at the beach and staying on the bay. Cost: $300 (nonrefundable $125 deposit).
Aug. 1-6, CROSS Mission for Sixth through Eighth-Grade Youth
Come spend a week living at the church and working with CROSS -- our very own urban ministry here at Myers Park Presbyterian. Throughout the day, you will minister to individuals who are homeless, hungry, elderly, addicted and/or disabled, and children who are at-risk or living in poverty. At night, we will join in other activities with youth and sleep in our church's youth rooms. Cost: $200 (nonrefundable $100 deposit).
July 11-16, Pittsburgh Project for Sixth and Seventh-Grade Youth
Discover the meaning of servant leadership as we repair homes and restore the dignity of vulnerable homeowners in Pittsburgh alongside nearly 300 participants During the day, we work on improving homes; at night, we worship together and share the message of God's transforming love. We also will enjoy one afternoon in Pittsburgh. Cost: $350 (nonrefundable $125 deposit).
