The goal of the Myers Park Presbyterian Church Weekday School is to foster the mental, physical, spiritual and experiential growth of each child through our preschool and full day programs. We offer holistic learning activities in a nurturing environment where children find joy in exploring the world in which they live. We encourage children to think for themselves and solve problems through a play-oriented approach, with curriculum specifically suited to each developmental level. We provide activities children can carry out out at their own pace, to the best of their ability. And we provide a community of support to our preschool families. Why? As part of the Christian education ministry of Myers Park Presbyterian, the Weekday School is committed to offering the highest quality preschool education available in a unique environment -- an environment where children grow into their identity as a child of God, have a sense of belonging and are nurtured in discipleship as they grow in faith.
HALF DAY
WHO: Open to members of the church and the community with children who are one- to five-years-old as of Aug. 31, 2008.
WHEN: September to May, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
REGISTRATION: Form and Information
FULL DAY
WHO: Open to members of the church and the community; current program is for children six weeks through two-years-old; a class for three-year-old children will begin Aug. 23; fours and TK classes are planned.
WHEN: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; full day program begins March 1.
WHAT: Applications are currently being accepted; there is a $95 application fee for church members and a $105 fee for non-members; monthly tuition is $950 for infants (6 weeks+) and toddlers (12-18 months) and $850 for two-year-olds (24-35 months) and three-year-olds (36+ months).
