Here at Myers Park Presbyterian, we believe each of us is uniquely gifted to serve Christ in some way and that we are called to honor God through ministry. This goal is reflected in our signature Every Member has a Ministry initiative. Annually, during the six-weeks preceding Easter, we pray and strive to discern how each of us can best serve as the hands and feet of Christ throughout the year. Is it building shallow wells in Malawi? Nursing an elderly parent with Alzheimers? Helping a family move from homelessness to self-reliance? The answers are as individual as you are. On Easter Sunday, we make our written commitments and begin work. As the Holy Spirit works through us in our ministries, we touch people’s lives, they in turn touch ours, and we see true transformation. |
