Myers Park Presbyterian Church is a community of people trying to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our daily lives. The ministry of Congregational Life encourages our discipleship by fostering the connections tha strengthen our spiritual lifes.
- We welcome members and visitors with hospitality. We organize classes for new members to join our church and we provide opportunities for those new members to become involved.
- Every member at MPPC has a ministry. We help our members discern their call to ministry and we support them as they serve in that ministry.
- Presbyterian Women gather for three major events each year: a fall gathering, a Christmas communion worship service, and a spring birthday event. Women's circles offer a variety of study options at different times and in different formats. An annual women's retreat to Montreat, the first weekend in March, gives women a chance to get away from the daily grind and experience spiritual refreshment together.
- The Christian Life Center encourages physical fitness in a Christian environment. A track, fitness equipment, and a wide array of fitness classes are available for adults. Children and youth can participate in sports' leagues, summer sports camps, and special classes such as gymnastics.
- Lemonade on the Lawn in the summer months after Sunday worship has become a tradition, as a place to enjoy fellowship with one another.
- Wednesday evenings, Setember through April, dinner is served in Providence Hall, 5:30-6:30 p.m. This dinner enables members of all ages to particpate in classes, rehearsals and ministry activities.
